Hello!

My name is Lily-Sue, but my mummy calls me Munchkin! I am 4 years old, and this is where my mummy will help me write all about all the fun things we do together. I hope you enjoy reading about the adventures of my mummy and me, Munchkin!

2013 ... Thank you for the memories!

... 2014 ... Bring on the fun!

The year twenty thirteen
Has now come to a close,
It's been a year of change for us
Of excitement, to's and fro's.

Things are rarely quiet here
Our home is rarely still,
There's always something going on
We don't realise until.

We sit and look at all the things
That have happened to us here,
Taking stock of all the exciting times
We've crammed into one year!

The year began with one big change
A change to set the bar,
The day I started 'Little School'
And became a Shooting Star.
That's the name we're given
All my friends and me,
"Shooting Stars, show me your hands ..."
New things to show and see.

Then mummy proposed to daddy
Beastie and I played our part,
Daddy said yes, there were hugs all round
Now mummy will soon be a Hart!
Mummy, she started the planning
The dresses, the cake for the day,
Then something unexpected happened to us
A little thing got in the way ...!

Mummy found out she was carrying
A little life precious and new,
Our Baby Plum in her tummy
Which just grew and grew and grew!
Mummy and daddy were nervous
Anxious and sometimes unsure,
Our lives were rapidly changing
Pain and discomfort did mummy endure.

Daddy started a new career
A job that he's loved in every way,
Things were looking much brighter now
He looked forward to every new day!
We smiled as we looked to our future
As Beastie and I continued to thrive,
We were feeling excited as we started to plan
Our journey as a family of five!

We then moved home, a busy time
My toys were put away,
Cardboard boxes, big black bags
Ready for moving day.
Hospital visits, moving vans,
Everything moving so fast!
Hectic days and endless nights
Until we were in our new home at last.

Summer brought another first
Excitement high as a kite,
The day of my very first nursery prom
Found me dancing late into the night.
I wore a dress and sparkly shoes
The night though was a tad bittersweet,
My best friend was moving to big school
And new friends she'd surely meet.

This made me nervous, this made me sad
I felt all my fun would just end,
But new children came, and best thing of all
My best friend is still my best friend!
Now I was one of the big girls at school
Learning new things every day,
My teachers said I was doing so well
In my work, making friends and my play.

Mummy was poorly, mummy was ill
We went to the hospital lots,
Mummy and daddy seemed more worried each day
Uncertain of whens whys and whats.
We thought Baby Plum was coming early
Which doctors said wouldn't be good,
They made mummy sleep at the hospital
To keep her as safe as they could.

We managed a party for mummy and Plum
And hoped that he would behave,
Stay right there in mummy's big tummy
Mummy and daddy, you both must be brave!
The day with a cross on the calendar
December number twenty three,
Saw more excitement for me and the Beast
Our first ever sleepover - just her and me!

A night long adventure of cuddles and fun
With our wonderful grandad and nan,
Dinnertime, bathtime and bedtime too
Testing all of the boundaries we can!
And whilst we were away, with much fun to be had
Mummy and daddy were bringing our year to an end,
They were in hospital, once again
Giving birth to my new best friend!

Now as the year closes, another one starts
And our journey as five will commence,
The most special of times are just ahead ...
... 2013 - you've sure been immense!!

Happy New Year to you all!

    1. Thank you! Very dramatic and tense at times. But we survived it and I'm here to tell the tale which is the important thing. And look what I have to show for it! All 3 of them have been worth every second of the pain and worry!
