Hello!

My name is Lily-Sue, but my mummy calls me Munchkin (or 'Munch' for short!) I am 8 years old, and this is where my mummy will help me write all about all the fun things we do together. I hope you enjoy reading about the adventures of my mummy and me, Munchkin, with the occasional appearance from the siblings - Beastie and Plumlet.

Fiat 500L features 'The Motherhood'

... It's Another Hood!

I was recently asked if I would share a short video on The Hart of the Munchkin Patch. Most requests of this nature are usually accompanied by a highly inappropriate video with totally unrelated content, but with the promise that my readers will love it. Ok, so the day that squirrels performing death defying stunts becomes a relevant topic in The Patch, I'll share your videos!

However, on second look, something seemed a little different with this one. This video was created to promote the Fiat 500L. Indeed, first impressions would lead me to assume that this too would be very unsuitable material for our family focused blog. But then I read on a little further ...

"The objective of this video was to create an engaging film that surprises and delights viewers with sharp humour that all young mothers can relate to. The heroine is depicted as a normal down to earth mum dealing with and rapping about the trials and tribulations of being a mother. The video was intended as a fun, cheeky and well observed focus on the trials of motherhood, discussed with a surprising frankness to make the target audience feel understood. The idea of the ’Motherhood’ repeated throughout the video was utilised to help create a sense of unity for all young mothers who can relate to the video. "

This new model is their new mini MPV and claims to be an ideal car for busy mums who are always on the go, between school runs, nursery drops, trips to the supermarket, and all other day-to-day responsibilities. Using phrases such as "I wear my nursing bra like a bulletproof vest" and "CBeebies' now my crew 'n' I'm tight with Postman Pat", are sure to be very familiar concepts to so many parents out there!

These 'Parent rap' style videos are becoming more and more popular, but this one made me smile more than any others I have seen. Maybe the fact that it features a British mum makes it easier for me to relate to her lyrics ...? I'm not sure. All I know is, it made me smile. Take a look for yourself and tell me you made it all the way to the end without smiling or nodding to yourself?!

Enjoy ...!
