We have been tagged again by the lovely LOVED BY LEXI, this time to talk about our dream job. Again, being only 23 months old, at the moment it's not so much about the job I would like to do, but more the job mummy and daddy would like me to do! I heard mummy saying the other day that I will be a professional ice skater ... sounds dangerous to me!! Then she said I could be a dancer ... Now THAT I can do!!! Then I thought I'd ask mummy what her dream job would be, and this is what she said ....
I have had a number of jobs over the years, from being a Saturday girl at Woolworths many years ago, to teaching some of the most amazing children at a local Special Needs school. I have taken some memories from these jobs that will stay with me forever, and some friends that so far, have!! I think we all have that one job that will stick in our minds and hearts forever, and mine would be the years I spent with the children at the school. Every day with them was amazing, for all different reasons, and there isn't a day goes by when I don't wonder where they are now!
However, if I had to describe my DREAM job, this would be it ...
Me and my mum have often talked about having a family business. My dad has been an amazing photographer for around 40 years now. His work is true art in my eyes, and over the years his photographs have just got better and better, capturing moments in landscapes that so often get missed by the eye. His pictures remind us of the beauty that is hidden in the hustle & bustle that is the UK!
Since meeting my partner (and Munchkin's dad), a little over 6 years ago, he was also trying to satisfy a keen interest in photography and fine digital design, but was unsure of where to take it. Now they spend time together, going to different places and taking wonderful pictures. Dad has won many awards for his work over the years, and my partner went on to get Runner-Up for Digital Photographer (Macro) of the Year in 2009. What I would love is to have a shop and studio for dad and OH to run between them as this is what they would love to do. Not a shop in Essex though. Somewhere pretty like Norfolk or Cornwall (wherever we end up one day!!) Then mum and I have talked about having an adjoining gift shop selling unusual gifts and also featuring some of my own handmade crafts!
We could also offer some of the photography and digital art created by the men :) See - mum and I have got it all worked out!!
This would be a dream! I will never forget the jobs I have had in the past, or the people that I have met as a result of them, but there's nothing like a job that makes you really want to get out of bed in the morning, and for me, this would be it!!!
I would love to hear about your dream jobs, so am tagging BLOG BY BABY, LOREN'S LITTLE LOVELYS and THE WONDERFUL ADVENTURES OF SPUD & SPIKE to tell us all about yours.
This post idea began with Ramblings of a Suburban Mummy. Thanks for tagging us Loved by Lexi!! x
